Euro Institute of Music Hamrun presents this year Guitar and Bass weekend master class. Rock Legend bass player Neil Murray and guitarist Phil Hilborne are to give a weekend master class at the Euro Institute of Music.

Neil Murray has played with bands and musicians such as Brian May, Queen + Paul Rodgers, Whitesnake, Black Sabbath, Gary Moore, Peter Green, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck just to mention a few. Neil has played on dozens of albums, sales of which exceed 10 million units, and has toured extensively all over Europe, Asia, Australia and North and South America.

He has performed with Queen’s Brian May and Roger Taylor at various events such as the Queen’s Jubilee Party At The Palace in 2002 at Buckingham Palace and at Luciano Pavarotti&’s annual concert in Modena, Italy, and took over as bassist on 2 concerts on the recent UK tour of Queen + Paul Rodgers. He played in the Brian May Band in 1992/93 and again in 1998, touring the world and playing on Brian’s albums Back To The Light and Another World. Neil has recorded, toured and jammed with many other famous rock musicians over the years, including Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Michael Schenker Group, Robert Palmer, Scorpions, Joe Walsh, Roger Daltrey, Paul Carrack, Gary Brooker, Jimmy Barnes, Ian Gillan, Ozzy Osbourne, , Allan Holdsworth and many others.\

Phil Hilborne is one of the most respected British guitarist, number one studio, tutor and live player. He has written several books on guitar playing and founder and contributor for the guitar techniques magazine. He has worked and played with Nicko McBrain, Bruce Dickinson, Steve Vai, Brain May, Zack Wylde, Steve Morse, Vinnie Moore and many others. Since 2002 Phil has regularly performed in the hugely successful Queen/Ben Elton musical. We Will Rock You at the Dominion Theatre in London’s West End. Phil has performed at the show with Brian May on several occasions.

The master class is going to be spread over 3 days. The price is 45 euros all sessions included. This is a unique opportunity to learn direct for the masters. This is a non profit making activity. If you had to attend a similar class in the UK you have to pay aprox 300 euros. The master class is open for anyone interested therefore I advise you students to book early and not get disappointed. There will be one class for bass and one for guitar. Places are limited as only small classes will be available. Underneath you will find the times and topics discussed.
